The old Mailman mailing list service will be emptied on 18 December 2026 – Check your own lists now at the latest!
A new version of the Mailmanlists email service is being introduced for organisations within the JYY network. Please note that the lists will not be transferred directly to the new service. Representatives of organisations can obtain guidance on creating new lists from Petro Pitkänen, JYY’s Member Services and Organisations Specialist.
Students may also request access to a Microsoft Groups mailing list. With the Groups service, it is important to bear in mind that lists formed on the basis of groups are open to all members of the list. This means that people on the list can see who else is on the list and are themselves visible to others. This feature can be problematic if, for example, a student association’s rules state that members must not know the identities of other members. Outsiders cannot view the list details.
