Three movie nights for university community

The films will be shown at Kino Aurora, starting at 5 p.m. You must register for each screening using a separate form. One ticket per member of our community is available for each film. There are 82 seats available for each screening.
You can log in to the registration form with your Haka ID. If you are unable to attend the screening you registered for, please remember to cancel your reservation as soon as possible so that those on the waiting list can be notified in time. Places that are canceled at the last minute usually remain unfilled. You will receive a confirmation email with a cancellation link.
There will be a short introduction (in Finnish) before the film begins. The speakers will be announced in this news item at a later date.

3.12.2025 Assistant Professor Virpi-Liisa Kykyri will introduce the film.
She will reflect on the relevance of the film The Dictator (1940) in relation to the present day, where democracy, academic freedom, and humanity are under threat in ways we thought were a thing of the past. She will also discuss how art can help us deal with the incomprehensible, how art can help us find our way to each other, and how liberating laughter can be in the right place.
