JYU will organise all nine entrance exams, including the one for the fields of medicine, pharmacology, biochemistry, and nutritional science, through which students will not be selected for the University of Jyväskylä.

In addition to the national entrance exams, the Faculty of Information Technology will organise TIM entrance exams in Agora on 18–19 May 2026.

Entrance exam buildings and usage restrictions

The national entrance exams will take place in three different buildings in Jyväskylä (Agora, Liikunta and MaD). Each day, there will be one or two exams, lasting from three to five hours (+possible additional time). The estimated numbers of applicants vary from 160 to 780 persons, and the exam sites are distributed across 4–16 halls, depending on the number of applicants.

In some teaching facilities, the entrance exams may call for some temporary arrangements in terms of power supply and furniture. This means that care should be taken when moving around these facilities, and it is forbidden to alter the furniture arrangements between exam sessions. Power supply and furniture arrangements in different facilities will be made in May, from 5 May onwards. This year, the ball sports and gymnastics halls at Liikunta will also be equipped for the entrance exams and will be completely unavailable for other use from 13 May to 14 June.

During entrance exams, for the period from 13 May to 8 June 2026, there will be some restrictions for the use of wireless networks. In the buildings used for entrance exams, the wireless networks jyu-student-, jyu-guest- and eduroam will be unavailable for the period from 13 May to 8 June 2026. Instead, the wireless network for the staff (jyu-staff) will be normally available also in these buildings.

All wireless networks for these buildings will be restored to normal use from Monday 8 June.
