Biography
I am a multidisciplinary researcher with background in cell and molecular biology, protein biochemistry and electron microscopy.
Previously, I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences on a project on herpesvirus - host cell nucleus interactions, and as scientific officer at the Bhabha Atomic Reserach Centre, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India for several years.
Research interests
My research interest has been in deciphering structure - function relationship across diverse biological systems spanning from cyanobacteria, cellular structures to proteins and materials. I have extensively used biochemical and electron microscopy methods in my research. My current interest is in cellulose-hemicellulose composite materials.
