Biography
Doctoral student in Economics in JSBE
Research interests
I study the factors shaping energy and commodity markets and their implications for the transition to green energy. My research helps policymakers and energy companies assess market drivers and helps institutional investors and portfolio managers improve forecasting and investment decisions. I am a doctoral researcher at JSBE and a member of the Jyväskylä International Macro and Finance (JyIMaF) research group.
Research interest:
Green energy finance · Commodity markets · Financial forecasting
Currently I am working on "Supply-Demand Uncertainty and Green Energy Sector Investment" research, examining how supply-side and demand-side uncertainty affect green-energy companies. The project aims to help policymakers, companies, and investors identify the risks and market conditions that may hinder or accelerate investment in the green-energy transition.
I am the first or main author of two research papers:
“Heterogeneous Macro-Financial Exposure Across Green Energy Subsector ETFs,” with Heikki Lehkonen and Kari Heimonen, working paper.
“Predicting Commodity Market Returns with Stock Market Anomalies,” with Juha Junttila and Heikki Lehkonen, R&R at the Journal of Futures Markets.
My research also informs my teaching, including a guest lecture for master’s students on commodity markets in an International Finance course.
Collaboration and contact
I welcome research collaborations and joint projects with energy companies, financial institutions, and policymaking organisations. I am also available for policy-related projects and guest lectures on green energy finance, commodity markets, and financial forecasting.
