In my dissertation, I use a theory of technological mediations to analyze and understand different practical phenomena. I analyze how material artifacts, meaning tangible items created for a specific purpose and perceivable by the other sense too, shape perception, understanding and experience of the world and self.

My main theoretical framework is postphenomenology which combines pragmatism and phenomenology, and can be classified as a branch within the philosophy of technology. My research has received funding from the Kone foundation for the period 2023-2026.
