Biography

Dr. Daria Hakola works as a university teacher at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics. Her research focuses on entrepreneurial decision-making and cognition, SME performance, institutional factors, and family business. She currently serves as Country Vice-President (Finland) of the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Her teaching is primarily conducted within the Business Innovation and Sustainability (BIS) Bachelor’s programme, where she contributes to courses on decision-making and research methodology. Prior to this, she was actively involved in teaching within the International Business and Entrepreneurship (IBE) programme and has extensive experience in supervising theses.

In addition to her teaching and research roles, she serves on the Editorial Review Board of the Baltic Journal of Management.
