Biography

Elina Sievänen works as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry. She teaches NMR spectroscopy at the advanced level and supervises organic chemistry laboratory work both at subject and advanced levels. Moreover, she supervises B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. theses.

Research interests

The research interests of Elina Sievänen cover chemistry education especially at university level together with biomolecule- and supramolecule-based applications in pharmacology as well as in bio- and circular economy. Elina Sievänen is specialized in teaching ang using liquid and solid state NMR spectroscopic methods in structural analysis of bio- and organic molecules.She is a member of both the research groups of Chemistry Education and Organic Chemistry for Circular Economy
