Biography
I work as senior lecturer of Environmental science and as a vice head for education at the Department of Biological and Environmental science. My duties are mainly related to administrative issues, planning and developing teaching and supervision at BSc and MSc levels. I teach topics like climate change, research ethics and environmental impact assessment. I act as study advisor both at BSc (Environmental and aquatic science) and MSc level (Environmental Science). I have special interest in pedagogical development projects and supervision of students in different projects.
My fields of research also vary. Originally, I'm an ecologist with special interest in orchid reproduction but recently I have participated different projects studying e.g. impact assessment in Mozambique, possibilities of using road verge biomass in energy production (with my PhD student Marjaana Hassani), and other projects related to harmful exotic plant species.
