Biography

Beginning from 2021, I have worked on my PhD dissertation research on the concept and history of security in the history of political thought. In my research I seek especially to illuminate the role of the Ancient Greek concepts of asphaleia and soteria in the political thought of Aristotle. From 2025 my research has been funded by Kone Foundation and before that by University of Jyväskylä. In the years 2023 and 2024 I also worked as an editorial secretary in the top Finnish journal of political science Politiikka. Previously I graduated as a Master of Social Science in political science from University of Jyväskylä in 2020 with a thesis where I explored the discussion on whether Plato's Socrates should be seen from the perspective of civil disobedience and counted as part of this tradition as was suggested by some of the popularizers of its practice such as Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.
