Biography

I work as a part-time teacher (Finnish as a second language) at the Centre for Multilingual Academic Communication. I teach Finnish courses on different language levels for international degree students and exchange students. I am also one of the teachers in the Each One Teach One language learning programme. You can contact me by email.

I have previously worked as a teacher in the JYU.INTEGRA training. I was responsible for the Instagram account of JYU.INTEGRA training in years 2021–2024.

I also work on my dissertation at the Department of Language and Communication Studies. My study focuses on the multilingual agency of international master's degree students in Finland. I had funding from the Ellen and Artturi Nyyssönen Foundation from January to May 2025.

Research interests

In my dissertation, I study the multilingual agency of international students who have come to Finland to complete different English-medium master’s degree programmes. I focus on the students’ beliefs about multilingualism and multilingual practices in everyday life at the university. The ethnographic data will be collected by interviewing and observing the research participants. I will use nexus analysis in this study.
