In my postdoc research, I investigate dialogic classroom interactions, their quality, effects, and different teacher- and student-related factors linked with the interactions. In addition, I have investigated teachers’ professional vision utilising eye-tracking methodology and teachers’ gaze-cued retrospective think-aloud interviews. In recent years, my research has been funded by the Ella and Georg Ehrnrooth Foundation and the Emil Aaltonen Foundation.
I am also involved in the Assessment Study of the Finnish Two-Year Pre-Primary Education Trial (ESKO), and the Right to Belong project (R-to-B) that seeks research-based solutions to decrease children’s and youth’s loneliness and ostracism.
