Biography
I work as a Grant Writer at the Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Education and Psychology. I support the faculties’ research teams in applying for EU funding - especially Horizon Europe - as well as other major funding schemes.
I hold a PhD in History from the University of Minnesota (2011), specializing in Migration Studies. I also hold the title of Docent in Research on Multiculturalism at the University of Turku (2016).
My experience spans both academic and applied R&D contexts. I have secured competitive funding both as a principal investigator and as a lead writer, including from the Research Council of Finland, the Strategic Research Council, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks (Horizon Europe), Interreg Aurora, Interreg Baltic Sea Region, and the Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS).
