Biography
I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Jyväskylä in a research project focusing on hunting and local stakeholders in the Sámi Homeland in Finland. I am responsible for designing and conducting a questionnaire survey, analysing the data, and interpreting and reporting the results.
My background is in conservation biology and ecological research. In my doctoral research, I studied the conservation of the endangered Apollo butterfly (Parnassius apollo) and the restoration of its habitats in the Finnish Archipelago. My research combined ecological field data, spatial and statistical analyses, and the study of people's attitudes towards ecological management and restoration.
My research interests include biodiversity conservation, ecological restoration, human–nature interactions, and the socially and ecologically sustainable use of natural resources. I am particularly interested in research that can provide knowledge to support practical conservation, environmental management, and evidence-based decision-making.
