My research focuses on educational reforms, the special education system, equality in education, and educational exclusion. I have studied, for example, the reform of the final assessment of basic education, changes in the special education system and in the supply of special education, regional differences in education, and differences between girls and boys in school achievement. In my research, I utilize the international large-scale assessment data (e.g., PISA) and statistics on education.
My research is related to the evaluation of education and the study of education systems. My research produces information on issues such as educational equality, young people's school achievement and factors related to achievement, and the implementation of educational reforms. The beneficiaries of my research are policy-makers at the national and municipal level, as well as principals, teachers and teacher trainers.
