Research interests

My research interests cover political, social, and legal philosophy both in contemporary philosophy and in history of philosophy. My doctoral research concerned early modern political philosophy, particularly the political theory of the German reformist political thinker, legal scholar, and civil servant Johannes Althusius (1557–1638) from a social ontological perspective. With my post-doctoral research I am turning to contemporary political and legal philosophy as well as environmental philosophy and ethics.
