Katja Mäntylä

I study learning and teaching foreign/second languages. At the moment, I am involved in several research teams, and our topics include studying optional languages, digital vs printed materials in teaching, gamified learning, and inclusive teaching. During the years,  I have also done research on multilingualism, beliefs about language learning and teaching, vocabulary learning and assessment, second language writing, development of language awareness, and early language learning. In a nutshell, I'm interested in all phenomena related to language learning and teaching.
