Research interests

I study the effect of nutrient and element availability on microscopic aquatic organisms, such as phytoplankton and zooplankton, and pathogens and parasites of aquatic organisms. My research increases knowledge about the effects of runoff of organic matter from land to aquatic environments. I also study the recovery of nutrients and carbon dioxide in algal biomass from recirculating aquaculture.
