Research interests
My doctoral dissertation is situated at the intersection of research on teacherhood and research on educational policy discourse. The study examines how comprehensive school teacherhood is constructed in parliamentary Question Time speeches between 2000 and 2025. Across three articles, I analyse how teacherhood is argued in Finnish political Question Time speeches, how societal issues are reflected in the expectations directed at teachers, and what kinds of roles are framed for teachers in these speeches.
