Biography
I believe everyone deserves a chance in education and in science.
That’s why my research is mainly about students’ motivational development, especially how students develop their values: what is interesting, important, useful, or costly in their learning. My research aims to identify key factors, like gender and teacher support, and how they may inhibit or promote students’ learning motivation.
This is also why I care a lot about promoting critical and accessible teaching and open science.
I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at Mind’s Hub research group in University of Helsinki (where I finished my PhD) and the Department of Psychology of University of Jyväskylä, Finland (ADAPT project).
