I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Department of Teacher Education, University of Jyväskylä. My position focuses on variation in learning and interaction in educational contexts.
My research focuses on learning and interaction in changing educational environments. I am particularly interested in how students’ participation and opportunities for learning are shaped through interaction and in relation to space, embodiment, materiality, and technology. My research also addresses co-teaching and changing learning environments, as well as the implications of digitalisation and AI for teaching and learning.
I lead the Research Council of Finland project Classroom Interaction beyond Talk: Diverse Needs of Users of Space, Embodiment and Materiality (NEED-U). I am also part of the University of Jyväskylä’s ULearn profiling area and the EDUCA – Education for the Future flagship.
