Biography
Majid Haghparast is an Associate Professor at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Since January 2026, he has also served as a Degree Programme Officer for the High Performance Computing (HPC) Master's Degree Programme. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. From April 2017 to January 2018, he conducted his sabbatical at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, where he also worked as a Research Fellow. He is an Editorial Board Member of Cluster Computing (Springer), Journal of Computational Electronics (Springer), Optical and Quantum Electronics (Springer), and IET Quantum Communication (Wiley). He has supervised or advised more than 10 Ph.D. and over 150 M.Sc. theses. His research focuses on Software Engineering, Quantum Programming, and Quantum Algorithms, and he has been involved in several research projects.
