Biography

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Applied Language Studies of the University of Jyväskylä. I am particularly interested in the following topics:

  • highly educated immigrants' Finnish language learning
  • emotions in language learning
  • e-learning
  • positive psychology in language learning and teaching
  • language learning in the workplace
  • work wellbeing

Research interests

My current research project examines the work wellbeing of highly educated immigrants through the lens of language proficiency. The study combines perspectives from applied linguistics and positive psychology. The research project is funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund.
