Project description

There is currently a discussion in Finland about the immigration of international experts and how their contributions can enhance the country’s competitiveness. Previous research has examined the use of Finnish language by international experts in the workplace, but their work well-being has not been a focus of study.

This project explores the connection between language skills, particularly Finnish language proficiency, and well-being at work. The target group of the study consists of employed international experts, meaning individuals working in expert roles in Finland whose strongest language is not Finnish. The project is funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund.
