My current postdoctoral research is part of the project funded by the Academy of Finland “Social foreign language learning (SoFoLe): behavioral and electrophysiological studies”, which explores the impact of social interaction on foreign language acquisition within immersive virtual reality environments, utilizing VR and haptic technologies. I am interested in the underlying brain processes involved in this context to assess the future potential of this technology for enhancing language learning in adults. This research aims to provide valuable insights into how virtual reality can facilitate foreign language learning and how the brain processes this novel form of sensory information.
