Niina Rantamäki

My research interests lie in the fields of structural social work, rural social work, and social sustainability. I am particularly interested in the participation and agency of citizens, civil society actors, and local communities, and in their significance for the construction of wellbeing, social cohesion, and civic engagement. More broadly, my research is positioned within the paradigm of sustainable wellbeing, to which it contributes by bringing perspectives on civic participation, local community life, and everyday wellbeing.
