Biography

My research concerns the sustainability of higher education institutions, especially from the perspective of sustainable practices in research. My research is part of the COPE project (Conflicting principles and emerging practices in international higher education in Finland in the era of climate crisis), led by Henna Juusola and funded by Kone Foundation.

My doctoral dissertation in educational philosophy (PhD, University of Tampere) dealt with the paradigm shift in education in the post-sustainability era, as well as the relationship between education and technology. I graduated with a Master's degree in Theoretical Philosophy, with teacher qualifications in Philosophy and Ethics (MSc, University of Helsinki).

In addition to philosophical and sustainability research, I have also used the autoethnographic method to examine the nature and challenges of research work in the age of worsening ecocrisis.
