Research interests

Pekka Virtanen (Ph.D. in International Relations) studies development cooperation, post-communist transition processes, identity politics and the role of institutions in natural resource management, with focus on sub-Saharan Africa and Brazil. His multidisciplinary research is of interest for those addressing the problems of societal change.
