Adjunct Professor (Title of Docent) Riitta Hänninen works as a Senior Researcher at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy, University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
Dr. Hänninen's research is focused particularly on digitalisation, ageing, and the diverse ways in which digital technologies and services are used in later life. In addition, Dr. Hänninen has studied digital engagement and the relationship between digital inclusion and the wellbeing of older adults. Methodologically, Dr. Hänninen specialises in qualitative research, digital ethnography, and collaborative and qualitative research methods in online environments.
