Biography

I work at the Centre for Multilingual Academic Communication (Movi) as Vice Director for Education and University Teacher. My responsibilities include the development and leadership of Movi’s Flexible Pedagogy Team. I serve as the convener of the JYULearn Steering Group and am actively contributing to JYULearn development projects. JYULearn is part of the University of Jyväskylä’s strategic development of education, with a focus on enhancing teaching quality and strengthening academic staff competencies.

My research and development interests include student-centered and inclusive pedagogy, fostering students’ sense of belonging, and addressing the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in higher education pedagogy. I also participate in the EDUCERE Nordic Network and the European University Association (EUA) thematic peer group Engaging Students as Co-Creators in Learning and Teaching.

My doctoral research focuses on leaders’ positioning in managing severe workplace conflicts. My current teaching and staff development activities concentrate on workplace conflict management and multimodal pedagogy.
