Biography
I work in the Master's Degree Programme in Game Studies and I teach courses in the Game Studies and Game Design Study Module. I also teach digital skills and digital research methods in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Research interests
My research is focused on media audiences and media use in its different forms. I am particularly interested in engagement with digital media but also in how it is entangled with non-digital practices in everyday lives. I have studied audiences of film, music, literature, and digital games, but also the users of digital learning environments. The research results are important for developers of digital services, such as games and digital learning environments, as well as educators. In the national FIN-CLARIAH infrastructure project I participate in developing new digital research methods for humanities research.
