Biography
I'm working as a doctoral researcher in Eco-social Sustainability and Education team in Finnish Institute of Educational Research. My PhD is part of Sustainability Transformations doctoral education pilot and my supervisors are Hannu Heikkinen and Anna Lehtonen and Heidi Layne.
In my dissertation I’m interested in sustainability education and practices enabling and constraining it in third sector nonformal education and its intersections. I’m interested in transformative learning, sustainable practices and dynamic construction of agency. In my work I utilize post-humanist educational theories and I’m especially interested in frameworks of ecosocial Bildung, planetary wellbeing and planetary social pedagogy.
I have a long work background in liberal adult education where I have been training non-governmental organisations for example of impact making in society, eco-social Bildung, guidance, communal and NGO skills. My education background is somewhat all over the place, I’m a vocational teacher, master of communal pedagogy, wood artisan, bachelor of sociology and yoga teacher.
