Biography
I'm working as a doctoral researcher in Eco-social Sustainability and Education team in Finnish Institute of Educational Research. My PhD is part of Sustainability Transformations doctoral education pilot under the supervision of Hannu Heikkinen and Anna Lehtonen and Heidi Layne.
In my research I'm focusing on nonformal sustainability education in non-governmental organisations anf liberal adult education. I'm interested in sustanable future images and prefiguring conditions of practices that eneble or constrain sustainability education. In my research sustainability is understood as a planetary wellbeing which includes the wellbeing of all planetary ecosystems. I'm interested in transformative learning as a way to change practices, worldviews, future images and agency towards sustainability in communities.
I have background in liberal adult education and in training non-governmental organisations of various societal topus and community and guidance skills. My educational background is multifaceted, I'm a vocational teacher, mater of communal pedagogy, wood artisan, bachelor of sociology and a yoga teacher.
