Research interests

My research aims to reveal cellular and molecular mechanisms how lifestyle choices regulate cancer risk. A healthy diet and high physical activity significantly decrease cancer risk. However, we don't have enough knowledge of the molecular and cellular mechanisms behind this protection. The goal of my study is to identify those mechanisms that protect against cancer. This information can utilizes to boost our body defense agains malignant progression in our tissues.

Transdermal estradiol and exercise in mitigating adverse effects of androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer radiation therapy (ESTRACISE): Randomized controlled trial

ESTRACISE is a phase IIa open-label randomized controlled trial. The goal is to evaluate the effectiveness of transdermal estradiol with or without resistance training to mitigate the adverse effects of androgen deprivation therapy.
