The Empirical Microeconomics research group conducts research across various domains within economics, including labor economics, health economics, economics of education, and regional economics. Our empirical research serves a dual purpose: it enhances our understanding of individual-level decision-making and outcomes, while also contributing to the assessment and development of economic policies.

Research group description

The group often leverages comprehensive register-based panel datasets encompassing individuals, their families, and employers. These datasets offer a vast repository of information pertaining to economic choices and their subsequent outcomes.

Our particular areas of interest often focus on the development of human capital, the evolution of employment and earnings trajectories, as well as the examination of health-related outcomes and behaviors.
