HBSC Finland
HBSC Finland – WHO-Koululaistutkimus - Finland's national contribution to the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study, which is carried out in cooperation with the European Office of the World Health Organization (WHO). Study examines the health, well-being and health behaviour of children and young people at school, at home, with friends, in hobbies and on social media.
The data of the HBSC study are collected with anonymous questionnaires from 11-, 13- and 15-year-old schoolchildren every four years. Finland is one of the founding members of this international research that has been going on for 40 years. Today, more than 50 countries are participating in the study.
The HBSC research protocol defines questions presented in all the participating countries, and the use of which enables international comparison. Several reports have been published and are freely available. International reports here.
