TETRIS - The Ecosocial Transition Research In Social work

The TETRIS research group, The Ecosocial Transition Research in Social work, consists of social work researchers striving to understand the roles, places, and boundary conditions of social work in the sustainability transition of societies. Under the umbrella concept of ecosocial work, the group is united by the effort to find and develop ways to promote the ecosocial sustainability transition and dismantle dysfunctional structures in collaboration with social work service users and promoting their well-being. By ecosocial work, we perceive a holistic - ecological, social, economic, and cultural – commitment and understanding of sustainability in the tasks carried out in the field of social work.

Our academic expertise and research relate to many strands of the ecosocial approach to social work. For example, nature-based interventions, ecosocial pedagogy, ecosocial conceptual framework, ecosocial perspectives in activation and rehabilitation, and social work in circular economics.
