The large plant collection includes approximately 570 plant species and about 18,000 individual plants, on which the Botanical Garden maintains a database.
The Jyväskylä University Botanical Garden consists of a park of nearly 36 hectares, including the green spaces of all three JYU campuses, Seminaarinmäki, Mattilanniemi, and Ylistönrinne.
