Euroguidance Network organised its European conference in Riga, Latvia, on 2–3 December 2025, under the theme "Sustaining Guidance within the Union of Skills." The event served as the European flagship of Global Careers Month, bringing together guidance practitioners, researchers, and policymakers from across Europe.

The conference theme highlighted the vital link between career guidance, skills, and sustainability. At the heart of the European Union's skills strategy is ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to develop their competences and navigate changing labour markets. Career guidance plays a central role in this—supporting people in their educational and career choices while helping them adapt to the changes brought by the green and digital transitions.

Skills2Capabilities project findings were showcased through the poster "VET Skills Formation Systems: What is the Role of Lifelong Guidance?" The poster examined the role of lifelong guidance within VET skills formation systems. Career guidance is a natural part of vocational education and training: it supports learners in completing their studies, facilitates transitions to employment and further education, and promotes lifelong learning.

Global Careers Month is a joint campaign by international organisations—the European Commission, Cedefop, ETF, ILO, OECD, UNESCO, and the World Bank—highlighting the importance of access to career guidance throughout life. The second Global Careers Month campaign in November 2025 brought together hundreds of events worldwide. The Euroguidance Conference in Riga provided an opportunity to deepen European collaboration and share good practices in guidance development.
