We are excited to announce that the Inter-Individual Variation in Resistance Training Responses conference will take place in November 2025 at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.

The conference will focus on heterogeneous responses to exercise between individuals, an emerging research topic that can be applied to exercise for people of all ages, for example, in fitness training, rehabilitation, clinical cases, and competitive sports.

This unique congress provides an excellent opportunity to exchange information and ideas with researchers worldwide.

The conference is the 25th in the annual international symposium series organized by Biology of Physical Activity researchers from the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Jyväskylä.

Please check this website regularly for important dates and updates on the conference programme, information for presenters, and practical details. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact our organizing team at bpa-conference2025@jyu.fi.

Call for abstract-based oral and poster presentations.

Abstract submission is extended and will be closed on September 5, 2025

The conference programme will include oral and poster sessions in which researchers and experts in the field can present their latest findings. The abstract's first author must attend the conference in person to present the study.

Abstracts with references are restricted to 300 words, excluding the title, authors and their affiliations, and keywords. Figures or Tables cannot be included. The abstract should be structured to briefly 1) state the study background and the research purpose, 2) materials and methods, 3) principal results, and 4) major conclusions. Please confirm if you prefer an oral or poster presentation during the submission. The Organizing Committee will make the final decision regarding the presentation format.

The oral presentation is 8 minutes long, followed by a 2-minute discussion. It must be in PowerPoint format and pre-uploaded on the presentation day. The use of your laptop or USB is not permitted.

The posters (A0 size in portrait format!) are presented at the conference venue and follow the undefended format. The first author must be present during the designated poster session to respond to possible questions from the Conference participants.

The Organizing Committee will review all abstracts before deciding whether to accept or reject them. The authors will be notified about the decision by email on September 8, 2025. Abstract acceptance is conditional until registration is completed. The accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website.

Submit your abstract here: ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
