Abigail Mackey is a Clinical Professor at the University of Copenhagen. Her research examines the impact of injury and aging on physical function and investigates how physical activity can mitigate this decline. Specifically, her focus is on the role of satellite cells in muscular adaptations in response to exercise.

Anne Hecksteden is professor of sports medicine at the Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck and the Medical University Innsbruck, Austria. Her research interests are in inter-individual variability in exercise responses, individualization and decision support in preventive and competitive sport, and molecular aspects of training adaptation and exercise physiology.

Brad Schoenfeld is a professor of exercise science at Lehman College in the Bronx, New York. His research interest is the effects of exercise on body composition with particular interest in muscle hypertrophy and fat loss. His research focuses on muscle adaptation associated with the manipulation of specific exercise variables, changes in body composition, and related nutritional and supplementation interventions.

Gustavo Nader is a Professor of Kinesiology at Penn State University, Pennsylvania, USA. He researches skeletal muscle growth control and adaptations to exercise. Dr. Nader's research focuses on the regulation of ribosome biogenesis and its role in the regulation of muscle growth by employing human, animal and cell models of muscle hypertrophy.

Juha Ahtiainen is an Associate Professor in Sports Coaching Science at the University of Jyväskylä. He is researching the physiological basis of training adaptations to identify sources of variability in responsiveness to training, and investigating the specific role of exercise training in sport and health promotion.

Professor Michael Roberts is a director of applied and molecular sciences laboratories at Auburn University, Alabama, USA. He is interested in researching the effects of how diet and exercise affect physiological and molecular outcomes. He has extensively investigated response heterogeneity in resistance training.

Stuart Phillips is a Professor in Kinesiology in the School of Medicine at McMaster University, Toronto, Canada. He is Director of the Physical Activity Centre of Excellence (PACE) and the McMaster Centre for Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Research, and Lab Lead for the Exercise Metabolism Research Group. His research is focused on the impact of nutrition and exercise on human skeletal muscle protein turnover. He is also keenly interested in diet- and exercise-induced changes in body composition.
