Methodology Monday brings together researchers and those interested in science to explore the diversity of methods and interdisciplinary interfaces. Come along to learn and network!
At the first ‘Methods Monday’ of the autumn, professor Tuomas Eerola will talk about testing theories using large language models. Eerola’s research utilises interdisciplinary methods that combine data from questionnaires, interviews and laboratory experiments with physiological, neurological and movement data. The research is being carried out at the Department of Music, Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Jyväskylä and at the Music, Mind, Body and Brain Centre of Excellence.
During the half-hour ‘Methods Mondays’ (MM) sessions, participants will learn about the details and potential of various research methods across different disciplines through presentations by experts. The sessions offer practical tools for data collection and analysis, as well as a broader understanding of how knowledge is constructed in different disciplines and how these approaches can complement one another.
The main language of the event is Finnish but questions can also be asked and answered in English language.
