All students of the University of Jyväskylä who are working on a bachelor’s thesis, master’s thesis, or doctoral dissertation are welcome to join, regardless of the stage of their work.
This thesis weekend will be held at the Club room and Bertta in Kortepohja student village. Breakfast is served on Saturday and Sunday, and coffee and tea will be available throughout the weekend.
Please bring your own laptop.
Participation requires preregistration. The first 20 to register will be admitted. The thesis weekend, including breakfast, is free of charge.
Schedule for the weekend:
Friday June 12th (Club room)
- 15:00 – Opening session and setting personal goals at the Club room (coffee and tea available)
- Be prepared to briefly share:
- What is your thesis about and your current stage
- What is your goal for this weekend? Think of something concrete and measurable (e.g. number of articles to read, or pages written).
- What kind of help and support are you looking for?
- What kind of support can you offer to others?
- 19:00 – First checkpoint
- Club room reservation ends at by 20:00
Saturday June 13th (Club room)
- From 8:45 – Breakfast is served at the Club room
- 9:15 – Work begins
- Lunch break at your convenience (bring your own food or visit a student restaurant)
- 16:00 – Second checkpoint
- Club room reservation ends at 17:00
Sunday June 14th (meeting room Bertta)
- From 8:45 – Breakfast will be served in Bertta
- 9:15 – Work begins
- Lunch break at your convenience
- 15:00 – Third checkpoint, the thesis weekend ends
- Bertta reservation ends at 16:00
