Study path feedback
Table of contents
Utilizing students' feedback is an important part of the development of teaching and education as well as the development and quality assurance of services related to studying. The surveys examine students' satisfaction with their studies as well as their experiences of studying and of the fluency of their studies. The University of Jyväskylä makes use of course feedback, student feedback during undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and career monitoring feedback.
JYU Degree regulations, § 5, Feedback on education:

Bachelor’s graduate survey
Kandipalaute - The Finnish Bachelor’s Graduate Survey is a national student feedback survey that examines students’ satisfaction with their university and studying experience. The survey is sent to all bachelor's graduates. You can reply already when applying for the degree, the graduates will also be sent a reply link by e-mail. Responding to the survey is very important. Your feedback is central to the development of your degree program, and it also affects the funding that the university receives.

Master's graduate survey
The most recently launched survey at JYU is a survey for master's graduates. In 2025-2026 a version of the survey for graduates of English-language degree programmes will be developed.
Other feedback surveys
After the bachelor's and master's degrees, career monitoring surveys and doctoral student surveys are carried out.
Career monitoring surveys
The University of Jyväskylä participates in national career monitoring, which is carried out in cooperation with the Aarresaari network, the national employment and career services cooperation network of Finnish universities. The master’s degree career monitoring is carried out for those who have graduated five years earlier. The doctoral degree career monitoring is carried out 3 years after graduation. The results of the Master's career monitoring also affect the funding of universities.
