Building a lunar station and dancing the tango – European Researchers’ Night programme for school groups now available!

The evening programme of the most inspiring science event this autumn welcomes people of all ages. The daytime programme offers activities and insights for a younger audience ranging from day care children up to upper secondary school students. The multidisciplinary programme introduces participants to subjects including biology, music, and chemistry. There are 19 different programme items available.

Children and young people can, for example, learn about lunar tourism and participate in building a lunar station, dance the tango, and marvel at potworms. The programme also includes familiar favourites from previous years, such as Kamishibai theatre. The European Researchers’ Night programme offers children and young people an opportunity to explore the world of science and research in a concrete and approachable way. New experiences can spark an interest in different scientific fields and even encourage them to think about future study and career opportunities.

Workshops fill up quickly, so be sure to reserve a place for your group in good time.

The evening programme, which is open to everyone, will be announced soon. In addition to the JYU campus areas, events will also take place at the Rajakatu campus of JAMK University of Applied Sciences and at the Natural History Museum. There will be plenty of memorable experiences and things to discover for everybody with a curious mind.
