The event will be held on Thursday, 8 October 2026, from 9:00 to 17:00 at Paviljonki in Jyväskylä.
The event is open to anyone interested in collaboration, networking and the day’s themes.
Inspiring talks and networking opportunities
Alongside the exhibition area, the programme includes sessions in which companies, stakeholders and researchers will share their perspectives of this year’s themes. There will be inspiring keynote presentations as well as short elevator pitches.
This year’s themes are:
- AI and data-driven decision making
- Transformative technologies
- Welfare and changing demographics
- Climate, the environment and the green transition
- Resilience and solutions for comprehensive security
- Collaboration as the foundation of innovation
The event will feature keynote speakers including Saana Nilsson, Tom Lind and Lauri Reuter. Additional speakers will be announced soon.
The daytime programme will be followed by an evening event where participants can continue networking over food, refreshments and entertainment. Entertainment will be provided by Aaro Vuotila and his popular Songmachine, helping create an enjoyable experience and sociable atmosphere for the evening. The dinner starts at 17:00, and the event concludes at 20:30. Register separately for the dinner here.

Companies and stakeholders
During the day, you will have the opportunity to meet researchers and motivated students interested in collaboration and the development of new ideas. Companies can maximise their visibility by reserving an exhibition stand. A range of stand sizes and pricing options is available, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your needs. Reserve your place by 25 September. Company and stakeholder representatives are also welcome to attend without an exhibition stand.
JYU staff
The event offers an excellent forum at which to showcase your research through an exhibition stand, a presentation or informal networking. Advance registration for JYU staff is open until 25 September.
Students
Business Networking Day gives students the chance to connect with potential employers and learn about current research topics. It is also an excellent way to find an internship or employment opportunity, or to gain inspiration for your master’s thesis.
