ELNE Journal, Vol 8: European perspectives on collaborative leadership

The latest issue of the Educational Leadership Network Europe (ELNE) journal examines collaborative leadership from the perspectives of various stakeholders as part of the theme “Contextualising Collaborative Leadership Across Europe: Stakeholder Perspectives”. Collaborative leadership means more than simply working together – it is built on participation, shared responsibility and trust between learners, families, teachers, education leaders, employers, decision-makers, researchers and civil society organisations. This publication brings together the key discussions, experiences and good practices from the webinars, conferences and other European events organised by the ELNE network during 2025–2026. The journal provides an overview of how, across Europe, more inclusive and effective ways of managing education and making joint decisions are being developed.

ELNE -The Educational Leadership Network Europe is a committed community of education stakeholders working to enhance collaborative school leadership in Europe. It has the ultimate goal of improving the learning outcomes for students and is founded on the conviction that quality education is at the heart of social progress.

This Europe-wide, ever-growing network is currently composed of more than 60 member organisations from 25 countries at the European, national, regional, and local levels. These ELNE members represent the voices of thousands of education employers, teachers, school heads, parents, students, researchers and policymakers.
