Democracy Week is organized in connection with The European Conference in Kristiansand which will take place on Monday 6th of May 2024. We are now looking for participants from all FORTHEM universities.

Open call to Students and Academics

Students can sign up for:

Attend the European Conference in Kristiansand. FORTHEM scholarship is available for 4 students per university.

Dates and Deadlines

Democracy week 2024 will be held 2-8 May 2024.
Social media campaigns, recording of digital content, etc may take place before this week.
Experts and students participating as speakers, interviewers, panel participants, can still join projects until 28 February.

The University of Jyväskylä is participating in the FORTHEM universities’ joint science communication competition, the Researcher Grand Prix. The semifinal was held this week during the Business Networking Day event at Paviljonki.

The FORTHEM Researcher Grand Prix semifinal will take place during the Business Day event at Jyväskylä Paviljonki on October 1, 2025. One contestant from the semifinal will advance to the international final held in Dijon, France, on November 6.
