Get to know Japanese customs and culture at Japan Day on 3 February

The University of Jyväskylä's free Japan Day for the whole family brings together people interested in Japan. During the day, you can learn about Japanese traditions and culture and participate in Setsubun festivities. In addition to the University of Jyväskylä, the event is organised by Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT, Japan Airlines and the City of Jyväskylä.

Japan Day, open to all and free of charge, is held at the University Library Lähde on Saturday 3.2.2024. During the day, there will be a wide range of activities related to Japan, from the setsubun festival and Japanese traditions to origami and calligraphy workshops.

During the event, you will learn about the Toyota Technology Centre to be built in Jyväskylä and the newly established Central Finland Mobility Foundation (Cefmof).

The event is organised in cooperation with Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT, Japan Airlines and the City of Jyväskylä. Representatives from Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT will tell about a new technology centre to be built in Jyväskylä, while representatives from Japan Airlines will introduce participants to Japanese customer service culture and Japan's less common travel destinations.
