IT faculty lecturer Panu Moilanen awarded with the Open Learning Influencer Award
Panu Moilanen, a lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Jyväskylä, has received the Open Learning Influencer Award at Open Science and Research Summer Days in Helsinki (Avoimen tieteen ja tutkimuksen kesäpäivät).
The award is granted for Moilanen's commendable work in spreading awareness and educational material on digital security to a wider audience.
Moilanen has also played a key role in the implementation and coordination of the Citizen's cyber security online course (Kansalaisen kyberturvallisuus), which is an open to all and free of charge course held in Finnish. The course is jointly organized with National Defence Training Association of Finland.
“Of course it's nice to be rewarded, but it's good to remember that it wasn't just me who was rewarded, but all those who have been involved in the design and implementation of our open content”, Moilanen says.
