Your university years are bound to leave a huge mark on you, and, with luck, they will be remembered among the best times of your life. Often these memories are tied closely with the everyday and the physical environment: the impressive Main Building on a sunny day, the bright yellow Library, a lab you frequented at Ylistö, queuing for lunch at Ilokivi.

All JYU campuses have provided a backdrop for learning, growth, and community spirit for many alumni.

The recent UNESCO World Heritage status of the Aalto-designed parts of the campus can offer another perspective on these old stomping grounds: The inclusion of Jyväskylä's Aalto Campus adds a layer of significance of the campus from the perspective of alumni experiences and cultural heritage.

Contribute! What are your fondest memories of time at JYU?

The JYU Alumni team invites alumni to send in your recollections and reflections to do with JYU, your studies, and your life on campus. The submissions can be anonymous, and they can be very brief. We will utilise the stories in our alumni communications.
