ReFlow Hackathon
Published
19.2.2026

The ReFlow Hackathon, organized by the BioBoosters accelerator and business network, invites students to solve real circular economy challenges – as part of your studies.

In the process industry of Sea Lapland, side streams are generated that have enormous untapped potential – for example as recycled fertilizers. Now you have the opportunity to develop sustainable products, new materials, or business models from them together with other students, companies, and experts.

💡 Why join?

  • You will earn study credits (approximately 5 ECTS; confirm the accreditation process with your school)
  • You get to use your creativity to tackle real company challenges – and learn from the ideas of other teams
  • You will develop your skills in circular economy, business, and sales
  • You will network with various companies and experts
  • A prize of €1000 is available

👥 Participate as a team of 3–5 people (or also alone / in pairs)
📍 The Hackathon culminates on 22 April 2026 in Jyväskylä (remote participation also possible) in an event for 50 students
👉 Register and submit your idea no later than 23 March
